Mission Statement

The Resilient Child Fund improves the lives of children and adolescents who have had an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) by providing funding for trauma-informed Creative Healing Arts Therapies within existing or emerging therapeutic programs.

Resilience

Resilience is the innate ability to rise above difficult circumstances. Resilience is many things. It is the capacity to thrive, to adapt, to connect with others in a meaningful way, to keep safe, both physically and spiritually, and to learn new skills to better cope despite the experience of stressful times. It is an antidote to the trauma of adverse childhood experiences. Resilience can be nurtured, taught, learned, and practiced with the right combination of guidance and sustained community support. Everyone has the ability to become resilient to overcome hardship.
