Trauma-Informed Creative Arts Trainings

Suicide, substance use, anxiety and depression amongst children and teens have increased dramatically since the pandemic while mental health services have declined.  Over 35 million children have experienced 1 or more Adverse Childhood Experience. The Resilient Child Fund trains professionals in Creative Art Therapies, thereby increasing therapeutic services for children and teens who have experienced adversity and trauma.

Above: The Poughkeepsie Project trained professionals who work in the Poughkeepsie school system to heal Adverse Childhood Experiences and to decrease their high school drop out rate.

Unaccompanied Immigrant Minors Project

The Resilient Child Fund trained social workers in a retention facility for unaccompanied minors ages 7-15 who crossed the border alone from several Central American countries.
